Metro/Christopher Thrall Nearly concealed behind the greenery are several succulent lamb and pistachio meatballs ($22).

Though Culina Muttart is the branch that offers a Lunch Rush, I visited Millcreek — my fave for the past eight years — for my final Lunch Rush review.

The tiny bistro was as comfy as ever and the menu, as always, a surprise.

I opted for ground lamb and pistachio kofta meatballs under a luscious, smooth cream sauce and festooned with snap peas ($22).

I sipped on the light sweet Pinot Grigio our waitress selected ($9.50) and remembered covering the place several times during my stints with a local alt-weekly and dining website before starting with Metro. Culina was my choice for anniversaries, my recommendation to anyone who asked, and a place to savour companionship over several hours of delicious dinner or brunch.

I finished with a lemon curd tart ($8), practically frozen but melting into sour delight in my mouth. I was going to miss restaurant reviewing, but I couldn’t imagine a more fitting send-off than a meal at Culina.
