Metro File Mooseheads winger Andrew Ryan.

The St. Louis Blues are giving Andrew Ryan a second chance.

After being passed over in the NHL draft last month, the 18-year-old forward has earned an invitation to the Blues’ rookie camp in September.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity because this season didn’t really turn out the way I wanted it to,” Ryan told the St. John’s Telegram. “This gives me the chance to still get an NHL camp under my belt, and I still have the chance to get back in the draft next year.”

Ryan was ranked 109th for the draft among North American skaters by Central Scouting. He had a tough year after missing the first three months with a broken ankle, finishing with 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 45 games.
