Are you staring down at yet another soggy sandwich?  With plenty of choices in the city, lunch doesn’t have to be a drag.

This End Up’s menu is full of fun options. Choose from decadent daily soups (White Bean and Salt Cod on the day I visited), intriguing sandwiches and indulgent sides.

Frito Pie ($7) — corn chips topped with chili, cheese, sour cream and green onions — is a fantastic idea. But with almost no chili, it’s basically a serving of chips with garnishes.

The Fried Chicken Thigh Sandwich ($15) is a symphony of flavours and textures. Succulent meat is covered in a savoury KFC-like breading that you’ll wish enveloped all your food.

Served on a bun with pickled celery and carrot, arugula, gochujang (Korean chili) sauce and blue cheese dressing, with salad or fries on the side, it’s like having a modern indoor picnic.

Accompanied by handcrafted Salted Caramel and Pineapple Sodas ($2.65 each), you’ll feel like a kid again.
