Nothing says romance like pasta.

Abruzzo is a cute, little Italian restaurant located downtown that, for me, exudes a sort of Lady and The Tramp-esque charm.

I should note that, unlike the Disney dogs, we did not fall victim to species discrimination and were allowed to sit inside the restaurant as opposed to behind it.

Although, we were not serenaded by a merry chef and his accordion…

I started off with the Italian Salad ($7.50), which was a fair mix of greens, onions, and tomato tossed in house vinaigrette.

As far as pasta choices go, it’s always hard to decide here.

Finally, I settled on the Fettuccini Gigi ($16.95), a large bowl of pasta tossed in a rose sauce with cappicollo ham and mushrooms.

The noodles were perfectly al dente and the sauce was vibrant with a little touch of heat, kind of like young love, you know?

Now, that’s amore!
