HALIFAX – Police in Halifax say a 55-year-old man found dead in the area of Montague Gold Mines was the victim of a homicide.

The RCMP says an autopsy has concluded that James Alexander (Sandy) Lyle died from a gunshot wound.

His body was found Sunday night on the shoulder of a road.

Officers are still investigating.
