The Halifax Mooseheads welcomed back Nathan MacKinnon, Jonathan Drouin and Martin Frk to the lineup on Friday night and then went out and beat the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 4-2 in QMJHL action at the Metro Centre on Friday night before 9,628 fans.

Drouin and Frk each picked up an assist in the win, while MacKinnon was held off the scoresheet.

Matthew Boudreau, with his team-leading 30th goal of the season, Trey Lewis and Luca Ciampini scored first-period goals for the Mooseheads.

After a scoreless second, Marc-Olivier Roy cut the lead to 3-1 less than a minute into the third, but the Armada couldn’t get any closer as Halifax put the game away on a goal by Ryan Falkenham with about two minutes to go.

Yasin Cisse rounded out the scoring with five seconds left in regulation time.

In a rare situation this season, the Mooseheads (34-4-2-1) were outshot by Blainville-Boisbriand (24-13-1-4), with Zach Fucale stopping 28 shots to pick up the win. Halifax fired 26 pucks at Armada goaltender Etienne Marcoux.

Halifax returns to action Saturday night when they Prince Edward Island Rocket visit the Metro Centre at 7 p.m.
