For Metro/Tyler Peacock Teams representing different City of Winnipeg departments competed during the Fire Engine Pull on Friday.

It was all hands on deck — and pulling — during the Fire Engine Pull by Winnipeg City Hall on Friday.

Teams made of City of Winnipeg Council, departments, agencies and service areas battled each other to see who could score the fastest time along William Avenue between Main and King streets.

The City of Winnipeg Employees’ and Retirees’ Charitable Fund (ERCF)/United Way Fire Engine Pull event, with trucks that weigh about 42,000 pounds each, was done in collaboration with United Way to launch the 2012 ERCF fundraising campaign.

A City of Winnipeg press release said last year’s ERCF campaign raised $466,000 for charities including the United Way.
