University of Winnipeg students and alumni can now show off their school spirit with the province’s latest specialty licence plate.

The university unveiled their new plates, which will go on sale at Autopac agents June 9, at the school Monday morning.

“This plate allows current, former and future students, as well as parents, friends, donors, alumni, faculty and staff, to let the world know they are proud to be part of the University of Winnipeg community,” said U of W president and vice-chancellor, Dr. Lloyd Axworthy in a release.

The plates will sell for $70, with $30 of the fee going toward scholarships for U of W athletes and inner-city youth sports programming.
