RCMP say a woman died on the perimeter highway Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash.

The woman, a 54-year-old from Winnipeg, was driving west bound in her 2005 Chevy Cavalier when she lost control. She slid into the path of an east-bound Dodge pick-up truck.

Both the driver of the truck and the woman were transported to hospital. The woman died. Her name will not be released.

The male adult driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

RCMP said icy conditions may have contributed to the crash. The investigation continues.
