Spidey fans’ senses will be tingling with excitement when comic legend Stan Lee comes to Vancouver for the 2013 Fan Expo.

Organizers have announced that the 89-year-old legendary co-creator of timeless comic book characters such as Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Hulk and X-Men will be appearing at the convention April 20 and 21.

Vancouver will be feeling the power of the dark side as David Prowse, the man who played the physical form of Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, will also be in attendance.

Terry Chui, a member of Star Wars costuming group 501st Legion, said he’s been a fan since he was six.

“It’s very exciting,” the 41-year-old told Metro Wednesday. “It’s a rare opportunity to meet someone from the original trilogy films. It’s even more special and iconic that he’s one of the most recognized villains in all of film.”

“There’s been a (big Star Wars) community in Vancouver and in Western Canada for quite some time, but there haven’t been these big opportunities like Fan Expo for these guests to come and now we can express our fandom,” Chui said.

Other guests set to appear at the event taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre include The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus and Boondock Saints actor Sean Patrick Flanery.

The first Fan Expo Vancouver, which featured celebrity guests such as Adam West and Burt Ward (the original Batman and Robin), drew 16,780 fanboys and fangirls.
