Are you craving some first-class Vancouver culture — or did you do something terrible to your mother or girlfriend for which you need to make dire amends?
All easily solved with a ticket to a new concert series being presented this fall by the Vancouver Heritage Foundation and Borealis String Quartet, called Music in Heritage Homes.
The name says it all. Over four afternoons, the quartet will entertain guests in four stunning heritage buildings, followed by a high tea reception.
Sept. 13 they will play Haydn in a rebuilt 17th century barn. Sept. 27 they will elevate guests with Beethoven and a Taiwanese folk song suite in a waterfront Point Grey home. Oct. 11 a restored church will be filled with the sweet sounds of Beethoven and Shostakovich. And Oct. 25 they will once again bring Beethoven to life in a mid-century modern venue.
Tickets are $146.60 for one afternoon, or $530 for all four. For tickets visit www.vancouverheritagefoundation.org.
