Motorcyclists line up for last year's Music Therapy Ride to Whistler. The ride has raised more than $350,000 over 10 years.

Blues rocker Colin James and producer Chin Injeti, who recently collaborated on Eminem’s Recovery album, will be among riders on Saturday for the annual Music Therapy Ride to Whistler.

Used in many care centres, music therapy includes singing, songwriting and instrument playing to improve clients’ physical and emotional health.

It is Injeti’s third year with the ride.

“It completely rehabilitated me,” said the Vancouver-based artist.

Injeti suffered from polio as a child and music therapy was used to help him regain movement atter years in a wheelchair.

“Think of the way your favourite song makes you feel when it comes on the radio,” said Patrick Zulinov, founding member and organizer of Music Therapy Ride.

“That feeling is amplified 100 times in the hospital bed.”

Online registration to ride is possible up to Saturday at: musictherapyride.org
