Dawn Petten plays the reporter-turned-famous war correspondent facing a recent trauma in Burning In, playing today at Gateway Theatre in Richmond.

Gateway Theatre presents Burning In, a poetic story about the lives of two people bound by a single click of a camera, playing today in Richmond.

An iconic photograph is taken of a reporter in a war-torn country cradling a boy whose parents have just been killed.

Written by Natalie Meisner and directed by Natasha Nadir, Burning In looks at both people’s lives 10 years later – a now-famous war correspondent battling personal trauma and a young man dealing with his own demons.

Catch Burning In at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at 6500 Gilbert Rd.
