Theatre at UBC presents Wild Honey tonight, a mix of comedy and melodrama about a young man “cursed” with being too attractive to women.
The play is a 1984 adaptation by British playwright Michael Frayn from a seven-hour manuscript originally written by Anton Chekhov.
It debuted that same year in London’s West End starring Sir Ian McKellan as Michael Platanov, a man who can make women fall for everything he says.
Directed by Brian Cochrane, Wild Honey runs until Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Frederic Wood Theatre, 6354 Crescent Rd., University of B.C.
