Western University students will be able to catch a Greyhound express bus to Toronto starting Jan. 11.

According to schedules on the company’s website, buses without stops will leave Western at 1:45 and 3:45 p.m. on Fridays, arriving 2½ hours later in Toronto.

Return buses will leave Toronto at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Sundays, reaching the university gates in two hours and 15 minutes, according to the website.

Greyhound blocked plans for the London Rocket — a student-led express service — last month. Company officials could not be reached for comment Thursday.

Roundtrip tickets for Greyhound’s new service will cost $20 ($10 one way) when bought at least a week in advance. Regular fare is $72 roundtrip ($36 one way).
