An aspiring hip-hop artist was shot while recording music early Saturday morning, police said.
Police have located the people who brought Anthony Spencer, 23, to the hospital after he was shot.
Spencer leaves behind his three-year-old daughter, Trinity.
The investigation focused on video footage showing two vehicles with a group of men and women dropping Spencer off at Scarborough General Hospital.
“The challenge is that the individuals we are interviewing are being far less than truthful with regards to the narrative of what happened to Mr. Spencer,” said Det.-Sgt. Gary Giroux in a news conference Sunday.
Police believe the people who brought Spencer to the hospital know those involved in the shooting but are not identifying them.
Spencer, who raps under the name Tony Trapz, has several YouTube videos, some with thousands of hits.
