Ottawa police have identified the pedestrian involved in the fatal collision on Montreal Road Saturday.

Police said Alain Bissonnette, 48, of Ottawa, had been crossing Montreal Road approximately 50 metres west of the Vanier Parkway when he was first struck by an eastbound van driven by a 57-year-old man.

A westbound jeep, driven by a 25-year-old man, then struck Bissonnette.

Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the collisions, police say.
