Two 19-year old Ottawa men have been charged in a robbery that took place late Friday evening on Woodroffe Avenue.

According to Ottawa Police, a man was walking on a path near Woodroffe Avenue when he was passed by two men riding bicycles just before 10 p.m. The men returned, assaulted the man, and made off with his backpack. The man received minor injuries in the scuffle.

Police arrested the pair shortly thereafter.

Ricky Pigeon and Joseph Lacasse, both 19, have been charged with robbery. They were released from custody and are due in court on October 10.
