A man and woman from Ottawa face several firearm related charges after police seized a loaded 9 mm handgun, two rifles, and ammunition in the 300 block of Prince Albert on Tuesday.

Jean Frantzy, 27, and Katherine Enticknap, 34, were arrested following the warrant and both face several charges including possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, and possession of a restricted firearm without holding a license and registration certificate.

Frantzy was also charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited and Enticknap faces an additional charge of possession of ammunition while prohibited, police said.

They both appeared in court Wednesday.

The search warrant was executed as a result of a tip from a member of the public, police said, and both of the accused were arrested by the Guns and Gangs Unit at around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
