Police scanned the backyard of a home in Bells Corners Wednesday for human remains.
The Ottawa Police called in provincial police to use ground-penetrating radar on a backyard on Virgil Road to look for bones, but found none.
Officers went to the home last May as part of an ongoing police investigation. The homeowners, who police say are “co-operative,” told the officers they found bones last fall, but discarded them, believing they were not suspicious.
A police spokesperson would not say what investigation brought police to the home in the first place, or if the possibility of human remains is believed to be linked to that investigation.
