There was a lot of “I wanna go on the yellow one,” at Calypso Water Park Wednesday but it wasn’t just coming from the kids.
Backstreet Boys Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, and Howie Dorough made a splash with fans on several rides – sometimes two or three times in a row.
The event preceded their joint concert with the New Kids on the Block Thursday at Scotiabank Place.
Several lucky fans from Ottawa made their friends jealous as they swooshed down slides with their favourite band member.
“Unreal. It’s every little girl’s dream,” said Sandra DiNardo, 21, who slid down the Accelerator with Brian Littrell and her family members.
DiNardo’s cousin, Elisa Caminiti, won a chance to slide down with a Backstreet Boy after winning a radio contest on Hot 89.9 so she invited DiNardo and her older sister, Sophia, to tag along.
Littrell liked the Accelerator so much, he took the three girls up for a second ride.
“This is the most amazing day of my life,” said Caminiti, 22. “It’ll be up there with my wedding day and the birth of my kids.”
