A new website and hotline launched Wednesday will help make the process of looking for palliative care information easier, says David Choo, president of Alavida Lifestyles.

The Alavida Palliative Care Info Site is designed to make finding care for those with chronic, incurable illnesses less complicated, offering links to home-care services and nearby hospices.

 Marie-Josée Martel said she experienced difficulties in finding the right help for her family members who suffered from chronic illnesses years ago.

“It would have been so much easier to get all the other types of care that were available if we had such an Internet site,” she said.

The hotline phone number is 1-877-430-1394, and the new website is available at alavidapalliativehelp.ca.
