Ottawa gets a dose of urban soul and R&B music as Tower of Power plays Centrepointe Theatre tonight at 8. Formed in Oakland, Calif., in 1968, the group continues to play 200 shows a year all over the world.

When not on the road, Tower of Power’s horn section guests on albums for quite a range of artists, including Elton John, Phish, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Aerosmith, Little Feat, Smokey Robinson, Bonnie Raitt and David Sanborn.

Regular tickets are $49.50 and premium tickets are $59.50.
