The London Rippers ended a four-game losing streak Wednesday when they slammed the Southern Illinois Miners 8-4.
The Rippers set the pace early with a 1st inning homer from Joash Brodin. A two-run RBI single from Matt Wright and then again from Mark Samuelson, followed by and RBI single from Brad Agustin, made for a five-run 4th.
A 5th inning homer from Jim Vahalik and and RBI single in the 7th from Tyler Hall brought the score to 8-1.
The Miners fought back with a three-run 8th but it wasn’t enough to catch the Rippers.
London starts a six-game road trip on Thursday, heading to Normal, Illinois to face the Cornbelters.
