United Way agencies of Elgin-St. Thomas, London-Middlesex and Oxford have received a record $346,703 donation from staff and students of Thames Valley District School Board.
Donations surpassed this year’s campaign target of $345,000. In all, staff and students have donated more than $2.3 million to the United Way over the past eight years.
Students raised money through various activities, including a stair climb and football games. More than 80 per cent of the total was raised through staff payroll contributions. The funds will be divided among the three United Way agencies based on where the money was contributed.
