St. Patrick’s Day celebrations saw about double the amount of people waking up Sunday morning in the drunk-tank.
Halifax Regional Police estimate more than 30 people were arrested and locked-up for public intoxication overnight Saturday.
But Sgt. Greg Robertson of Halifax Regional Police said overall people were well behaved on a night comparable to New Year’s Eve for the amount of party patrons in the downtown.
“Two impaired drivers too ‘ people seem to be getting the message about drinking and driving. That was good,” he added.
