It may be their catchy jingle, but Casino Taxi says the transit strike has their phones ringing more than usual.
Brian Herman, operations manager with the local cab company, said staff handled about 10 per cent more calls on Thursday than normal.
“We’re definitely seeing an increase in business here,” he said late Thursday afternoon.
Casino receives anywhere between 4,000 and 7,000 calls a day, he added.
Herman said more call-takers have been called in to work, and cab drivers are being urged to work longer hours.
