Financial crime investigators have made another arrest related to HRM’s recent rash of funny money.

A release from Halifax Regional Police says a 41-year-old Dartmouth man was arrested after officers raided an apartment on Albro Lake Road on Sunday.

Investigators seized fake bus tickets and American five and 20 dollar bills, along with the equipment needed to make counterfeit money.

The suspect is also facing charges related to a case of counterfeit money that was used at a Dartmouth Crossing business on August 8. He’s scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court Oct. 16.

A 36-year-old Dartmouth man was arrested last week and charged in connection with a case of counterfeit money that was used at a business on Albro Lake Road.

Police say there have been 12 cases of counterfeit money used in HRM over the last month and charges have been laid in four.  The remaining eight are still under investigation.
