SYDNEY, N.S. – A suspect in two armed robberies this week in Nova Scotia has been arrested.

Cape Breton Regional Police say Morgan James MacNeil was located at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday at an apartment on Townsend Street in Sydney.

Police say MacNeil was arrested without incident at about 5 a.m.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for MacNeil Thursday after he allegedly entered a CIBC branch in Sydney River and stole an undisclosed sum.

Police also allege that MacNeil robbed A&P Jewelry & Gifts in Sydney on Friday.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
