Unionized members of Dalhousie University’s support staff are organizing a strike vote after talks broke off on Monday.
The Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union Local 77 said a tentative agreement could not be reached and it has asked the conciliator to file his report.
A strike can be held 14 days after the report is filed, the union said in a news release.
“We weren’t able to reach a tentative agreement we could recommend to the membership, and we have to move to the next step,” union president Joan Jessome said in a statement.
