RCMP and the Edmonton Major Crimes Unit and are investigating a suspicious death south of Lac La Biche over the weekend.

EMS responded to a residence at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday and discovered a 28-year-old man with stab wounds. Four other people were also in the home.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and later airlifted Edmonton, where he died Sunday. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

RCMP have said this death is not related to the homicide of Roxanne
Bigelow, 34, whose remains were found near Lac La Biche on the weekend.
