The Edmonton Humane Society is hosting Wish Upon A Whisker Wednesdays, an adoption promotion aimed at finding older cats a home.

Today, the society will also be launching a new sponsorship program. The EHS currently has 290 felines in its care, with many more kittens expected over the next few weeks.

In order to ensure that adults cats won’t be forgotten during “kitten season,” the EHS will waive the adoption fee of cats that have been with the society for more than 30 days, but only today from 2 to 7 p.m.
