Canada Post has issued an apology after pamphlets featuring a nude adult actress were delivered to homes in Halifax.
The flyer offered “an exclusive invite” from Bree Olson, a former porn star and one of Charlie Sheen’s consorts during his 2011 meltdown. Once opened, a nude Olson is shown alongside advertisements for various sex toys.
Canada Post offered a mea culpa for the mix-up, claiming it intercepted most, but not all, of the pamphlets before they were sent out.
“Canada Post apologizes to anyone who was offended by the mailing. It did not meet our product requirements and should not have been delivered,” said spokesperson Jon Hamilton. “Unfortunately, while the bulk of the mailing was recalled prior to delivery, we did not catch every piece. We have communicated with the customer who prepared the mailing and are reviewing our processes to avoid future issues.”
On Twitter, Olson denied any involvement with the junk mail, and expressed concern that the images used were out of date.
