BELLEVUE, N.L. – Emergency crews in Newfoundland’s Trinity Bay area had a busy night on Thursday as firefighters battled a truck blaze just as police and paramedics were responding to a nearby car crash.
RCMP say a tractor trailer caught fire just west of Bellevue at about 8 p.m.
They cut a hole into the side of the trailer and filled it with foam in order to put out the flames.
Meanwhile, emergency crews were also dealing with a vehicle accident on the other side of the road.
The Mounties say that the driver and a passenger of that vehicle were taken to hospital.
