SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Police in New Brunswick say the victim of a Saturday night shooting likely knew his killer.
Saint John police received a call around 8 p.m. saying shots had been fired on Pitt Street.
A release says once there they found a 31-year-old man dead at the corner of Leinster and Pitt Street.
Police say he is the victim of a homicide and the major crime unit is now investigating.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
The victim’s name is being withheld at the request of his family.
