MONCTON, N.B. – New Brunswick RCMP have arrested two men in connection with a pair of robberies at credit unions in Moncton.

Police say credit unions on Mountain Road and Cornhill Street were held up last week.

Two Moncton-area men, aged 33 and 48, were arrested Thursday.

Police say one of the men faces additional charges for allegedly fleeing in a car from police during an attempted arrest Wednesday.

The Mounties allege a police officer was dragged a short distance, but was not hurt.
