About 400 residents of a southwest Calgary apartment will not be allowed to return home tonight.

According to a release, the Marquis building will remain closed off until tomorrow due to high water levels in the building.

Residents are being granted an opportunity to quickly visit their suites and collect essential items and tent to pets.

The presence of carbon monoxide in the building reported earlier in the day is no longer an issue.
An information centre at the Kerby Centre will remain open until 10 p.m. Further updates can also be gained by calling the Property Management Company Montgomery Ross & Associates at 403-234-7556.

Traffic along 6th Avenue at 10th Street downtown will remain restricted to two lanes through the morning commute.
