Crime Stoppers is hoping to close the door on crime with their latest campaign.
Calgary Crime Stoppers, Calgary Transit and ConocoPhillips have teamed up to unveil an LRT that displays three ways to contact Crime Stoppers and the word “Anonymous”, translated in 25 languages.
“There are over a quarter million trips on Calgary Transit per day. Our partnership with Crime Stoppers is an excellent way to ensure that citizens are safe, which in turn makes our city safe,” said Brian Whitelaw, Calgary Transit Security.
The goal is to ensure citizen safety while onboard Calgary Transit or near LRT stations.
“The newest unveiling is a welcomed addition in promoting Crime Stoppers as the means for submitting anonymous tips, which assist police investigations and solve crimes in our communities,” said Roger Monette, president of Calgary Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers has always encouraged anonymous tips and the LRT displays the talk, type and text methods to contact them.
