RCMP have confirmed one man has been found dead in a residence in Killam, Alta. and another man’s whereabouts are unknown following an incident Tuesday that sent two officers to hospital.

Early Wednesday morning, officers executed a search warrant at a rural residence near Killam and found an adult male deceased inside.

They have yet to confirm his identity.

It’s believed a second man identified as Sawyer Clarke Robison, 27, was seen leaving the residence after four RCMP members from the Killam detachment arrived at the property Tuesday afternoon.

Two RCMP officers, now identified as Cst. Sheldon Shah and Cst. Sidney Gaudette were shot Tuesday and taken to Edmonton hospitals where they are now recovering.

Robison is described as having brown hair and brown eyes and is very fit, according to RCMP.

He may be driving a black, 2000 Chevrolet Silverado with the Alberta license plate UZE 545.

He’s considered to be a person of interest in the shootings and may be armed and dangerous.
