Smoke could been seen and smelled throughout Calgary Wednesday as a fire blazed on the Tsuu T’ina First Nation.
The fire self-ignited at the landfill on the first nation and according to reports, could continue to burn for days despite efforts to extinguish it.
Alberta Health Services issued a precautionary fire-smoke advisory for the Calgary area, advising residents to be aware of symptoms such as irritation to the eyes, throat and a possible shortness of breath.
As of press time, the advisory remained in effect.
