Members of the Calgary Police Service assisted RCMP in Three Hills, Alta., Wednesday after a man barricaded and shot himself in a rural property.

According to a release from RCMP, the incident began when an adult male allegedly assaulted the property owner. CPS officers entered the home and found the man deceased.

The incident was not thought to be related to an incident in Killam, Alta., where one man is being sought after two officers were shot Tuesday.
