Fire crews were called to a townhouse in southwest Calgary Friday morning after a blaze broke out around 5 a.m.

The fire began in the living room of the townhouse, located on the 4500 block of 45 Street S.W.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one room, and the two adults in the suite were evacuated without injury, as well as two cats that were living in the suite.

Crews are conducting air quality tests before residents will be allowed to return to their homes.
