Midway through Metro’s Movember Challenge and the two contenders are growing strong.  On Nov. 1, Metro columnist Mike Morrison challenged editor Darren Krause to see who could grow the best ‘stache as voted by Metro readers.

“He’s putting up good competition,” Morrison said. “I still think my moustache is doing the slow-and-steady-wins-the-race.”

Krause is taking a different approach by growing chops in addition to his moustache.

“I really don’t want to make this about me versus Mike, my ‘stache against his ‘stache. I’m not sure that’s what this is really about,” Krause said. “But I’ll take any opportunity to show one of my columnists who actually is the boss.”
