Soon, locals won’t be the only ones salivating over Calgary’s food truck fare.

Fries & Dolls, Alley Burger and the Perogy Boyz will be taping for the Food Network show Eat Street this week.

“We’re so excited,” said Jason Krell of Perogy Boyz.

“We’re already feeling so overwhelmed by all the great response that we get, I think that if anything, this will just share the Perogy Boyz with the rest of Canada and the States.”

Calgary food blogger Dan Clapson, who will also be interviewed during the taping, said it’s great the vendors are being recognized especially since food trucks are a fairly new phenomenon in the city.

“The majority of the trucks featured on the show are from the U.S. so it’s cool that they’re taking the time to come to Calgary.”

The Perogy Boyz will be filming on Thursday at Central Memorial Park between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. while Fries & Dolls are taping on Wednesday and Alley Burger on Friday.
