Controversial author Judge John Reilly will be on hand at the Auburn Saloon tonight for an interview hosted by WordFest and the Writers Guild of Alberta. Reilly’s work Bad Medicine: A Judge’s Struggle for Justice in a First Nations Community documents his promise to improve the delivery of justice to Stoney Nakoda First Nations people living on the Morley reserve.
The book has been met with both praise and anger. The Stoney Nakoda First Nation even requested last year that the book’s distribution be delayed to avoid interference with band elections.
The interview will begin at 7 p.m. and is free to attend. The Auburn Saloon is located at 163-9th Ave. SE.
