Natasha Wolski, left, and Kayla Trigiani, both 21, were the first two in line on Tuesday to audition for The Bachelor Canada.

Canadian women are in it for love. Or at least that’s what the wannabe contestants of The Bachelor Canada say.

Before the doors to the audition room had even opened, dozens of romantic hopefuls had lined up for their chance to be “the one,” but none earlier than 21-year-old Natasha Wolski, who arrived at the Hyatt Regency at 7:30 a.m.

After following along with the American version of The Bachelor, Wolski said she thinks Canadians will bring a different spin to the reality TV series.

“Everyone loves Canadian girls, it’s just a fact,” she said with a laugh.

Fellow hopeful Kayla Trigiani said Canucks like her are in it for love rather than fame.

“With the American version, a lot of these girls get on the cover of magazines, so I think there might be a hidden agenda,” she said.

Casting director Heather Muir agreed that the kind of women the show is looking for are in it for the long haul.

“Canadians bring all the personality that the Americans bring, but I think … we bring a level of passion and sincerity,” she said. “We’re very hopeful at the end of this process that we’ll have a commitment.”
