This is no ordinary food truck. Bexx Eatery, parked in Stittsville, offers the top greatest food: perogies! Originally of Slavic origin, this dish has gained wide appeal – for good reason.

Who doesn’t love a dumpling that’s filled with cheese, boiled in water, fried in butter and served with bacon, caramelized onions and sour cream?

They tasted fresh, without preservatives and are a nice alternative to the mainstream chip truck specialties. Along with these half-moon delicacies was a serving of pork schnitzel, thinly breaded and seasoned nicely. The meat was still slightly pink inside (maybe too pink) but acceptably moist.

Though Bexx offers poutine, corn dogs, hotdogs and burgers, sausages are missing from its menu. Instead, you’ll be tempted by the Panini sandwiches that include turkey, pulled pork or chicken options.

This food truck promises to be open during the colder season to warm us with chili and soup, but enjoy eating al fresco at a picnic table while you can.
