British star Clive Owen brings his latest, the action thriller, Killer Elite, to TIFF.
On Toronto:
“I think I’ve been here for the last five years. I’ve got friends here because I shot a film here, so I love it. I feel very comfortable here. It’s quite nice because I come and I do a lot of the festival stuff, but I also slip off and see some friends and go to restaurants that I like – sort of outside of the festival as well. So it’s nice.”
On seeing other films at TIFF:
“No, unfortunately. It’s always the same. You see the list and you think, ‘Oh, you know, I’d like to see that.’ But they work us too hard. When we’re here, they want us to work.”
On Children of Men:
“It’s amazing because it didn’t do huge business … but of all the films I’ve done it’s the one that people always come and say they love. I agree. I think Cuaron’s a visionary director. I think it was a radical, ambitious film.”
