Home shows are for homeowners, and whether you live in a low- or highrise home, if you’re thinking of renovating, the Fall Home Show (fallhomeshow.com), which runs from September 22 to 25 at the aptly named Better Living Centre, at Exhibition Place, would be a great place to start.
Renovation is an incremental decision making process involving multiple discussions with your spouse or partner about which project is the priority, which style you prefer, and how much you’re willing to spend.
BILD has conceived Destination Renovation as a way to help you advance along the renovation continuum.
The key aspect of Destination Renovation is renovation conversation, where you can sit down with any of our professional RenoMark™ contractors (renomark.ca) who will be on hand throughout the Show to discuss project feasibility, design trends, timelines and ballpark pricing.
The other aspects of Destination Renovation are renovation inspiration – our gallery of before and after photos of professional renovations of all types and budgets – plus renovation information such as the RenoGuide and our directory of professional renovators.
Once you’ve visited Destination Renovation, you can proceed to the booths of BILD member contractors who are all part of the RenoMark™ program, the symbol which tells you that they have agreed to our ten-point renovation Code of Conduct.
The members’ booths will be easily identified by the RenoMark™ decal on the aisle carpet.
Now, I intimated last week that there might be a ticket giveaway, so as a reward to those of you who are still reading, here goes:
The first 10 readers who go on Twitter and tweet “I want tickets to #FHS2011″ to @renomark_ca will each score a pair of free tickets to the Fall Home Show!
On your marks, get set, go!
