I thought the White Star Diner was a garage the first time I passed it on a dark evening.
Not because of the decor but because of the size. It is the tiniest of diners but big on charm.
Take your food to go if you can’t snag one of the four stools inside, but the addition of two bistro tables out front doubles the seats!
A Blue Cheese Burger ($6.95) is simple and tasty with lettuce, tomato and blue cheese mixed with mayo.
The Club House Sandwich ($6.95) is pleasantly full of chunks of oven-roasted turkey.
The burger and sandwich are messy so why not add a big ole bag of fresh cut fries ($4.50) and a creamy real fruit milkshake ($5.35) to round out the true diner meal?
The White Star Diner isn’t trying to win you over with presentation but the homemade food makes this darling diner one to visit.
